In a dramatic encounter at Mjejane Game Reserve, a massive crocodile learned a harsh lesson when it attempted to prey on a herd of buffalo crossing the Crocodile River. The massive reptile, one of the largest in the area, spotted an opportunity for an easy meal as hundreds of buffalo made their way across the water.
However, the crocodile’s hunting strategy backfired spectacularly. As the buffaloes panicked at the sight of the predator, the herd’s collective response turned into a stampede. What the crocodile thought would be a successful hunt became a nightmare as it found itself directly in the path of the charging buffalo.
